We ask that Moonstone families volunteer at least 8 hours every year. Every September, each family has the opportunity to fill out a volunteer form and indicate their interests in volunteering. Parents can volunteer in many ways, including but not limited to chaperoning field trips, snack pick-ups, being a guest instructor, assisting teacher during conferences, etc.

Annual Dinner & Auction Fundraiser

To avoid hosting multiple small fundraisers, the preschool decided to combine everyone’s efforts into one bid annual event! The Moonstone Family Association (MFA) teamed up the school’s administrations and board to create the Moonstone Preschool Annual Dinner & Auction. This an opportunity for participants to help the Moonstone teachers attend the event for little to no cost. contributions are collected at the reception desk of the school. A thermometer display shows how much money is raised until the dinner event.Soliciting
We lean on our community at large to solicit auction items, ads for the auction brochure, and sponsorships. Our goal is to collect between 200-250 items to auction off. Some families or business’ prefer to sponsor our annual event through cash donations. (All donations are tax deductible)
In addition to donations, we also solicit ads for our auction booklet. Ads consist of business & school advertisements and personal/family acknowledgements. They range in size from business cards to full pages.
If every family contributes 2 donations and 1 ad, we would reach our goal!Online Auction
Our online auction is hosted through Bidding for Good, who provides an online platform for non-profits to create and organize accessible fundraising events. This is a great way to get distant relatives and friends to support our cause!Dinner & Auction Event
The dinner and live auction is held every April and hosted in a new venue every two years. Usually running for three hours, the event is divided into the silent auction and live auction. We have an amazing auctioneer and the evening is quite special! Tickets are on sale now and are $100 per person.Join the Auction Committee
This event would not be possible without the help of of our fundraising committee. This committee is open to all parents and board members. Various levels of commitment are welcome.
Get your hands up! Donate $100 to Moonstone Preschool and have your child’s hand-print permanently installed in the school! We have collaborated with the Expressive Hand, who donates all the ceramic tiles and supplies. Please speak with administration for more details.
Moonstone, as a 501(c)(3) organization, has just registered with United Way Southeastern Pennsylvania Donor Choice Program!! We’re encouraging parents whose employers are participating in the United Way donation drive to designate their gift to Moonstone Preschool to support our programs, building, and scholarships.
