Al San Valentin

New Moon Teacher

(they/them/their)

For as long as they can remember, Al has always loved drawing and making things out of paper and is happy to continue this with young humans. In their 10 years at Moonstone, Al has seen the cognitive and developmental benefits of art education for all abilities as early as possible. They has experience teaching youth, teens and older adults in inclusive classroom and community art settings. Al has a BFA in Studio Art with a minor in Art History from Rowan University and, as of August 2019, a MA in Art Education (with Emphasis in Special Populations) with K-12 teaching certification from Moore College of Art & Design. In their spare time, they continue their personal art practice as a member of the artist collective Space 1026.
